Tea tree lemon essential oil is harvested from the manuka myrtle tree (leptospermum scoparium); a hardy, bushy shrub recognised by its petit evergreen leaves and tiny wild rose-like flowers with their pinkish hues.
Tea tree lemon is well-known for its antiseptic, anti-microbial, carminative and sedative properties and is widely used in the perfumery and cosmetic industries. It’s also used as a naturally occurring insect repellent.
With its light consistency and medium to strong aroma, tea tree lemon essential oil has a fresh lemony scent with back-notes reminiscent of citronella and lemongrass and is considered a subtler fragrance than regular tea tree oil. It blends particularly well with cajeput, cinnamon, clove, cypress, eucalyptus, geranium, ginger, juniper, lavender, lemon, mandarin, orange, peppermint, pine, rosemary and thyme essential oils.
Historically, manuka wood was once fashioned by the Maoris into canoe decks, fish hooks, fishing rods and fish traps.
Our 100% tea tree lemon essential oil is available in bottle sizes from 10ml up to 5000ml.
