Palmarosa organic essential oil comes from a grass-like plant and is extracted from the slender stems by steam distillation. Its sweet, floral fragrance, with a subtle hint of rose, lends itself to multiple uses in the cosmetic and perfume industries. It can be found in a wide range of soaps and cosmetics and it was even put to use in the tobacco industry. Palmarosa has a large number of applications for aromatherapists.
The middle note of palmarosa oil makes it a good companion for many other essential oils including fennel, frankincense, geranium and lemongrass. Try blending with lemon, mandarin or orange for a citrus lift to the floral fragrance.
