Caramel food colouring is derived from heated cane sugar, otherwise known as sucrose. This versatile colorant is water-soluble and can appear in colours ranging from a warm reddish brown, to a dark blackish brown colour.
Caramel colour is widely used to add richness in colour to items such as Soft Drinks, Desserts, Sauces, Jellies, Soups, Confectionery, Beverages, Yoghurt, Milk Products, Liquor and Meat Products!
