The woody, spicy-scented oil, also sometimes known as olibanum, is extracted from the resin of a tree native to the Middle East. Freshskin Beauty’s organic frankincense oil is highly concentrated, so you’ll find that a little added to a carrier oil like jojoba goes a very long way. A few drops of frankincense oil added to a steaming tub makes a soothing treat, or use it in an oil diffuser or vaporiser. Frankincense also makes a great natural room deodoriser.
Its spicy, woody scent, with a subtle camphoraceous character, blends well with spicy oils such as cardamom, clary sage and coriander but bergamot, cedarwood and geranium work just as well.
