Extracted from the crude fruit peel of ripened mandarins, our mandarin essential oil is olive green in colour and carries a top note fragrance and light aroma for an intense, fresh, sweet scent.
Mandarin essential oil blends well with other citrus oils such as; lime, orange, lemon and grapefruit, as well as spice oils such as; nutmeg, cinnamon, bay and clove. Commonly used to as a natural remedy, mandarin oil is also an ingredient in soap, cosmetics, perfumes and colognes as well as being a food flavouring.
Traditionally, mandarin was used in Chinese, Indian and European folk medicine and was highly-valued as a natural remedy, soothing digestion and balancing the Chi of the liver.
Cautions: There is some evidence that Mandarin essential oil is photo-toxic. Direct sunlight should be avoided after using mandarin essential oil.
